Bio

 

I was born 1975 in Paola (Italy)

For more than 10 years I worked in my mum's art-lab, where I learned visual art techniques (drawing, painting, sculpture, photograph).

 

1995

I attended the European Institute of Design in Naples.

 

1998 

whilst working for a TV channel I came across to the postproduction-video editing world.

 

I am producing video art works since 2006.

 

2007-2010

I worked as project coordinator of international video art events with the no profit organization International ArtExpo (www.lucacurci.com/artexpo)

 

2007- 2008

I was video art events curator for HeArt Gallery in Verona (Italy).

 

2011

Opened my studio in a riverboat moored at West India Dock, London and starts a cooperation with Naomi Oduse, italian artist living in London.

Together we created NaN for the organization of art events on water surface.

NaN gave life to the first Affordable Fair of Italian Art and Design in London: The Kicking Boot, where I was the Art Director .

2012

selected as one of the artists for the Europian touring exhibition Inand Outboard. After the exciting experience of involving the Eastenders community for my sound installation E14 in London, my work has also visited Netherlands, Finland and Prague....

 

2013

I am the curator of the international worldwide touring event  100 Artists for a Century (all info 100artists4acentury-uk.jimdo.com) 

I am one of the selected artists for MovingUp! exhibition at Vernon gallery in Prague for the opening of Tina-B festival!

 

2014

I am starting working in partnership with LV21 for the delivery of art projects involving the local community in Kent.

I am the recepient of the Kent Community Scholarship for an art project that will involve Medway Community in June.

My web performance "interconnections" will be part of Whitstable biennale.

 

 

I live in Kent and work between London and Kent (UK).

My studio for the next two years will be at the Historic Dockyards in Chatham.
